POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator is a key position that oversees the SOSEC program and will provide necessary guidance and support to the program team so that the program activities are carried out timely and effective. He/She will formulate and implement the plans and other activities carried out in the working areas in close coordination with senior management and funding partner organizations. He/She will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring and reporting of plans and activities in coordination with Government offices, community members, Palikas, school and other stakeholders at the local level.

Education and Experience:

Education: Should have a Bachelor’s (Masters preferred) Social Science, Development studies, Law and other relevant field.

Experience: At least 3 years (2 year for GESI group) experience in child rights and livelihood improvement-based project implementation and experience of working closely with the government will be an added advantage.
Language: A good communicator, and fluent in English and Nepali
Skills and Abilities: Ability to manage, mentor and lead a team; works collaboratively and independently with the least supervision required. Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Reporting and Documentation Coordinator- manages key compliances of projects and other policies. This position is Responsible for reporting and documentation of the project as per the need of the project implemented by SOSEC Nepal. He/She is responsible to prepare reports and documents for senior management regarding the status of the project. Similarly, he/she play supportive role in proposal development, EOI documentation and preparing and submission of the concept note. He/she involves in organization development and fundraising part for the organization. The position is based in Dailekh district headquarters with frequent visit to project areas.

Under the supervision of the MEAL Officer, for routine monitoring of the project, data collection, quality assurance, implementation of key MEAL tools and establishment of community complaints and feedback mechanisms. The MEAL Assistant will also be responsible for recording and monitoring feedback, ensuring that the feedback mechanisms loop is closed, and that clients are informed of decisions taken.

External:

Representation or assist in representing the organization in relevant donor agencies, government offices and partners at Province, Districts and Local levels for cross-learning, collaboration and sharing of project best practices and learning including technical and managerial oversight of the specific and integrated programs and implementation. The position is required to represent project and organizations at the Local, District and Provincial level as appropriate.

Internal:

Coordination and consultations with the project team for the MEAL aspect in the project. In coordination with MEAL Officer, design, identify and implementation of various tools and methodologies for strengthening MEAL approach in the project as well as in the organization.

As a MEAL , s/he shares the responsibility of ensuring quality benchmark of the project, documentation of good practices, lesson learnt, challenges, ways out etc. and share it with the management team. Proper coordination with management team, partner agencies and stakeholder is the essential responsibility to be managed by the position. He/She should ensure the compliance of the partner agency in the project and guide the project by providing evidence-based data, cases, and stories.
