Once upon a time in a village, There was a teacher and he had five sons. As there were only primary education available in village, he used to sent his sons in city for further education after completion of primary education. He had already sent his three sons in city so they decided to relocate themselves in city for their sons education. They used to come in village every Diwali. After few years he managed to buy home at loan in city but everyone had same love for the village except Navin which was the 3rd son of him. As every year that year Diwali came, they decide to go home but there was an issue. One person should be there to look after the home as there were always chances of theft at festival season. They were worried who would look after the house. The teacher decided that he would look after the home but Navin shouted on everybody saying he didn't like the village so he should look after the home. But Teacher didn't want to him to look after the home because Navin had already been behind so many girls and in wrong friendship. He had fear that Navin would do wrong activities in there absence. But Navin didn't listen to anyone. At last teacher with his family left for village leaving Navin in city to look after the home. Navin did same thing what his father feared off. He brought his friends to his home and played card, drink beer evreynight and made loud noise for whole night. Whenever the Diwali used to come, Navin used to be excited and he managed to be in city to look after the house despite his all previous complaint. It's been five year Navin didn't go to village. Now all family members left forcing Navin to come village in Diwali or any ceremony as they knew Navin love the city life.
After few years Navin's two older brother started earning and they had handsome salary so they kept worker. That year Navin had no excuse so he had to go village. After many years he had meet with his childhood friend. He hugged his childhood friend and his eye was full of tears. His uncle said " Navin, now you realised what you had missed in these 7 years"
Navin with his best friend went to visit there favourite places where they used to spend their most of the time after school in childhood. They had long conversion. In the middle of conversation his best friend unintentionally came to ask that he had not ever thought to meet him and if yes why didn't he used to come home?
Navin had no answer but he had tears in his eyes. He couldn't stop his tear. After few minutes he took out some paper out of his bag and gave to his friend. After inquiring by his friend, he replied that those were the letter he used to write every year for him but couldn't give to his family member to deliver on the fear of if they might read it.
He replied " I have never forgotten you but I love my family more than you. I am nothing without them."
He said " I bahaved like I hate village but there was nothing like that. I did all those so that my father don't have to miss the family function. My father has to do night day work for our education and if he has to be alone in city during festive, I even couldn't imagine."
His friend asked " but I heard you used to play card, drink beer and watch porn whole night during Diwali"
He replied " I swear till now I don't have one drop of beer and we just used to play card for fun but we never bet money in game and you know it's our age to watch the porn."
His friend asked "but I listen you used to lose huge money in card game and you used to make noise after drink"
He replied "I used to act like that but I never done such thing. I used to act like that so my family don't doubt my intention for not coming village"
His friend eyes burst into tears and replied " I salute you my friend and today in my heart there is more respect for you"
It was evening so they left for their home. Navin said to his friend " I will come your home tomorrow to celebrate Diwali and meet your parent".
Navin was on the way to his house, at a wine shop he saw his friend having beer. He went there and asked his father to come home with him. His father asked him to sit there and the he said " Son, please have one glass of bear". He replied that he would not drink infront of him. His father replied " please son , for your father "
Navin still didn't drink.
His father again shouted "When son become mature, he becomes friend to his parents. So my best friend come and drink with me"
Navin again denied.
His father again shouted " you have your father promise"
He tried his best but at last he had to drink one pack of beer after his father statement. Then he asked his father to come home.
He was shocked because his father had never touched beer before and had to much hate for drunk. His father couldn't walk properly. His father fall on road. His father asked him to sit on the road and so he did.
After that his father said " you know my son I never touched beer before but do you know why I did had drunk today"
He replied " Dad, please go to home. We will discuss it later "
His father said "No son, I had drunk today because I couldn't see in your eye. I had drunk to talk with you"
He replied " I am sorry dad, if I had made any such mistake. You could punish me later but for now please come home"
His father replied " you had not done any such work but I had did. I always know you don't want to home because you want me to celebrate festival with family. You always behave you hate village and you don't want to come home but I always knew your intention.
He replied " it's your misunderstanding dad. There is no such thing"
His father said "do you know before we relocated to city you always used to cry to come home? I couldn't do anything even I know your intention"
He couldn't say anything.
His father again said " but what he could do. If I myself be there to look after home, your mother and all brothers wouldn't enjoy the festive. I left you there to look after because it gives his other family member enjoyment"
His father again said "Please forgive me my son, my best friend" and his father fall asleep. Navin carried his father on his shoulder and went back to home.
Next morning Navin mother asked his father "what had you done yesterday? Why did you have wine ? Why did you force him to drink?"
He smiled and replied "he is not only my son but my best friend" and he said Navin "Come on soon, sit here"
Navin asked her father that if he had plan to drink that day also. His father replied why not.

Both smiled and his father said Navin "So you make joke with father. I know you never have had beer". In evening all family members celebrated festive together.
